Two new investment projects worth 4 billion rubles will be implemented at the Parnas SEZ site
The Expert Council of the St. Petersburg Special Economic Zone has approved two new projects for implementation in the SEZ. The total investment volume will amount to 3.95 billion rubles.
Engineering and Expert Center LLC plans to create a universal laboratory complex for testing materials and equipment, innovative products in the sphere of marine transport. For realization of the investment project the company needs a land plot of 2 hectares, on which a facility of about 6.4 thousand square meters will be built to accommodate the laboratory complex. Commissioning is scheduled for the 1st quarter of the third year of the project realization. Investments in the project will amount to 1.69 billion rubles. The launch of the laboratory complex will provide jobs for 111 specialists.
FABRICA FOOD TECHNOLOGIES LLC intends to implement a project to create an enterprise for the development and production of individual food rations for long-term storage based on innovative biotechnologies. A land plot of 1 hectare is required for the establishment of the enterprise with the area of 10 thousand square meters. Commissioning of the facility is planned for the 1st quarter of the fourth year of the project realization. The volume of investments will amount to 2.25 billion rubles. Implementation of the project will create at least 170 new jobs.
Both investment projects are planned to be implemented at the Parnas site.
The Expert Council also approved the adjustment of the current resident of the Scenic Innovations LLC, which is at an active stage of construction of a plant for the development and production of innovative stage equipment and control systems. The investor has a 1.3 hectare plot of land on the Novoorlovskaya site under lease. The declared volume of investments amounts to 252 million rubles. The investor has slightly adjusted the readiness date of the first stage of the project to the end of 2025, the second stage - to January 2028.
Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg: “We have doubled the area of SEZ ‘St. Petersburg’ and in 2025 we will increase the pace of development of its sites to solve the task set by the President to achieve technological sovereignty and ensure technological leadership of Russia, - said Governor Alexander Beglov. - We are ready in the shortest possible time to fill the new areas with enterprises of a wide range of activities, from machine-tool manufacturing to pharmaceuticals. Design of industrial buildings is already underway”.
Kirill Polyakov, Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg: “Our new Parnas site is already fully occupied with projects. The pool of investors willing to realize them in St. Petersburg SEZ is not running out. Now we are starting to work on filling the Shushary site with residents, as well as attracting investors to the vacant plots of Novoorlovskaya to maximize the use of the land bank of our Special Economic Zone”.
Tamara Rondaleva, Director General of JSC SEZ “Saint-Petersburg”: “The amendments made to the legislation regulating the activities of special economic zones allow us to speed up the process of attracting investors. For example, we can consider projects on the basis of a prepared investment project passport - a simplified, concise document that gives a complete picture of the project. This will significantly accelerate the readiness of investors to protect projects and start their implementation”.
