Kalashnikov Concern opened a robotic production facility in the Saint Petersburg Special Economic Zone
A plant for the production of automated storage and transport systems, as well as industrial robots, has opened at the Novoorlovskaya site. The enterprise was created by Semargl, a company consolidated by the Kalashnikov Concern. The opening ceremony took place during the 2026 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The event was attended by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, CEO of Kalashnikov Concern JSC Alan Lushnikov, CEO of Semargl LLC Andrey Egorov, and Managing Partner of Semargl LLC Sergey Terentyev.
Semargl LLC received resident status in the Saint Petersburg Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in 2023. The construction permit was received on May 30, 2025. Thus, in just one year, the company built a modern, high-tech plant with a total area of 7,600 square meters. m, of which the production area is 5,900 sq. m.
The total announced investment in the project is approximately 1 billion rubles, of which approximately 686 million rubles have already been invested in the enterprise. The enterprise will create 150 high-productivity jobs.
Semargl LLC is intended to become the first company in Russia to master the serial production of a wide range of automated and robotic equipment for in-warehouse and production logistics.
