Since the beginning of the year, residents of the St. Petersburg SEZ have invested about 30 billion rubles in projects
In the first 9 months of 2025, residents of the St. Petersburg Special Economic Zone invested 29.7 billion rubles in their projects, which is 2 times more than a year earlier. The largest volume of investments was made by the following companies: JSC "BIOCAD", JSC "Pharmasynthesis-Nord" and JSC "ODK-Klimov". At the same time, the volume of investments made by residents in the third quarter of 2025 increased by more than 3 times compared to the same period last year and amounted to 14.4 billion rubles.
Since the beginning of the year, 483 new jobs have been created at resident enterprises, which is 22% higher than in the same period last year. The volume of companies' tax deductions to all levels of the Russian tax system is about 10.3 billion rubles, of which more than 2.6 billion rubles have been transferred to the regional budget.
The total revenue of SEZ residents increased by 10% in 9 months compared to the same period last year and amounted to about 73.4 billion rubles.
The total revenue of all residents since the SEZ was founded in 2006 is more than 567.7 billion rubles. Together, they invested 156.8 billion rubles in projects. The total amount of taxes they paid to all levels of the Russian tax system during this period amounted to almost 82 billion rubles, of which 30.2 billion rubles were tax deductions to the regional budget.
Alexander Beglov, Governor of St. Petersburg, said: "Creating an advanced industry and supporting entrepreneurship is one of the ten priorities for the development of our city in the coming years. Within its framework, we are expanding production areas, equipping them with engineering and road infrastructure, and increasing business support measures. The Special Economic Zone is one of the key assets in the implementation of the economic development strategy of St. Petersburg. We are working on the issue of allocating the necessary funding from the city budget for its rapid development. The accelerated expansion of the SEZ infrastructure will ensure the inflow of investments and the creation of thousands of new high-tech jobs for St. Petersburg residents. We will continue to create the most favorable conditions for business, contributing to the development of the innovative economy of St. Petersburg."
Kirill Polyakov, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, said: "This growth is evidence of business confidence in the Special Economic Zone regime and residents' confidence in their long-term development at the sites of our SEZ. The created conditions allow companies to increase their production and research capacities, which ultimately strengthens the economy of St. Petersburg and creates new high-quality jobs."
Alexander Sitov, Chairman of the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg: "In the SEZ, companies receive not only prepared areas, but also a number of tax benefits and other preferences. Large companies need technologically prepared land. It is more interesting for small and medium-sized enterprises to rent a ready-made industrial "box". Given this trend, the priority is to create infrastructure not only for industrial enterprises that come to the SEZ to build factories, but also for those who are willing to rent space."
